Notification for Summer 2024 Term
VHCC is currently a summer header school. This means our aid year starts with the summer term and ends with the spring term (summer, fall, and spring). We are transitioning to a summer trailer school this summer, which means that the summer 2024 term will be processed as part of aid year 2023-2024. Going forward, our aid year will start with the fall term and end with the summer term (fall, spring, and summer).
We are trying to make this change as smooth as possible. If you are receiving any type of financial aid funding to help pay for your tuition and/or books for the summer 2024 term, you need to be aware of the following:
The only summer session that this will impact is the 5W2. If you are planning on enrolling in summer 5W2 classes you need to do so by June 10th and purchase any books you may need with your financial aid. The bookstore will open for charges on May 8th.
If you are going to attend summer 2024 classes, you will need to make sure you have completed the 23-24 FAFSA! If you are planning to attend fall 2024 classes, be sure to complete the 24-25 FAFSA.
Investing in your education pays off!
Quality education that won’t lead to years of debt– that’s our promise. Not only is our tuition unbeatable, but financial aid can make VHCC even more affordable for those who qualify. In fact, more than $5.7 million is distributed to our students each year and more than 75 percent of all VHCC students receive aid! What are you waiting for? Apply for financial aid today!
We know that the FAFSA can be complicated– that’s why our friendly staff are here to help!
